Brancaster Staithe

The tiny harbour at Brancaster Staithe is all that remains of the nautical history of Brancaster Staithe, and this is now only navigable to small pleasure crafts. Bikes, boats and windsurfing boards can be rented in the village. Many locals sell fresh mussels from their front gardens, and the walk to the runs across whelk sheds with millions of discarded shells laying on the surface.
