Blakeney

The village of Blakeney was a commercial seaport until the early 20th Century, and some parts of the village, including the old Guildhall, date back to the 14th Century. Today the harbour is silted up, allowing only very small boats to sail out past Blakeney Point into the North Sea.

Its stunning coastal location has made Blakeney popular with many vistors and tourists, offering a large range of activities including crabbing, fishing, canoeing and birdwatching. The area of marsh around Blakeney Point is owned by the National Trust and up to 100 species of birds (and lots of seals!) can be found there throughout the year.
