Go Green!

The Norfolk coast is a very delicate and fragile environment, and so we’ve made sure that our buses aren’t just green on the outside, they're green underneath too. Since 2007, our low floor Coasthopper buses have already been built with the latest low-emission technology, but our eight new buses in 2009/10 have gone even further.

They are fitted with Euro 5-compliant engines and particulate traps, 18 months ahead of the European deadline to fit such advanced technology, which will make Coasthopper travel even greener, as the amount of carbon monoxide, nitrogen and particulate matters produced, which all contribute to global warming and human health problems, have been cut substantially. To compare your CO2 emissions between bus and car, use the look-up facility on the right hand side of this page, and if you walk for part of your journey, you'll be saving even more greenhouse gases (and help stay fit and healthy too).

What's more, all of our timetable leaflets and other printed publicity for Coasthopper are only ever printed on paper from renewable sources – but when you’re done with yours, please remember to recycle it.
